Day 360.

This summer is going to be all about texture! I'm totally still going to be mixing tons of prints, but texturized pieces like, crochet, embroidery, beading and silk/chiffons will be making their way into my closet. I feel adding texture to an outfit really makes it come alive; it makes the look more three dimensional if you will. This is just me taking a step in that direction, with this crocheted top accented with a chunky metal necklace and silk top.

Day 360.
Banana Republic Heritage Bird Top $30, Forever 21 Crochet Tank $18, Banana Republic Heritage Slacks $22, Metal Bib Necklace $15, Forever 21 Rope Belt $6.80, Miss Me Wedges $19

Day 358.

I guess the real question comes down to, is it appropriate to wear tights in spring and summer? I opted for tights, because the dress is shorter, and my nice, pale legs just aren't ready for that kind of open air commitment to everyone I see each day. Also, it was irregularly gloomy this day, so if I hadn't had tights on I would have been freezing! The colors are a little deep and rich for spring, but the delicate lace does help brighten up the look. Well, talk amongst yourselves and decide how much of a faux paus this is!

Day 358.
Black Poppy Military Jacket $17, Coincidence & Chance Lace Dress $20, Xhileration Orange Tights $1.50, Forever 21 Oxfords $12, Forever 21 Owl Pendant $6.80

Day 345.

No need to always make our outfits look scandalous. Yea showing a little leg once in a while doesn't hurt, but I found, that this dress that has been in my closet for OVER A YEAR, would be better suited as a lengthy tunic. I like the mix of a glitz with a little edge, the sparkle and shine of my dress and pumps were made everyday chic with my go-to leather jacket and a funky necklace. I honestly started liking this outfit more and more throughout today, especially after comfortably strutting my stuff down the streets of downtown San Clemente.

Day 345.
Forever 21 Flapper Dress $22, Forever 21 Leather Jacket $0; Gift, Banana Republic Skinnies $45, Juicy Couture Velvet Pumps $38; SCORE!, Geometric Necklace $3

Day 340.

Highly influenced by menswear. And by that I mean men who are on safari wear. This is the neutral based, tourism like, get up I rocked on Saturday. Complete with pleated front pants and puffy sleeves. By the end of the day I realized I looked much like a girl scout troop leader, and therefor want to watch Troop Beverly Hills. Either way, a summer like, crisp men's look is always fun, and I can't get enough of these pants.

Day 340.
Liz Clairborne Vintage Oxford $6, Banana Republic Heritage Pleated Pants $22, Forever 21 Rope Belt $6.80, Ciao Bella Flats $30, 31 Bits Bracelets $12, H&M Starfish Ring $3, Jewel Ring $10

Day 312.

I always seem to like my outfits best when I don't stop adding more things. Today I was a beautiful day, and I had quite a California summer feeling, butttttttt I could not figure out what to wear. Even worse than that once I half decided, (picked out a skirt) I couldn't find a top, that I haven't worn out or that I even liked! Don't worry kiddies, I opted to wear this dress as my top instead!! And I loved it! This dress has such great colors, and the paisley design that I'm totally into these days is really fun! Also the neckline and buttons make it very flattering as just a top. Let's get back to basics ya'll and start being a little more creative with what we got!

Day 312.
Juicy Couture Dress $20; Thrifted, Express Denim Jacket $25, Kirra Maxi Skirt $14, No Boundaries Hat $8, Dolce Vita Gladiators $40, RayBan Sunglasses $0; Gift

Day 297.

I wear skinny jeans almost everyday. I'm trying not to as much. I'm  not sure if I do because of a mere comfort thing, or a lack of other options. But I do feel good wearing skirts and dresses, so I'm going to work on it! Here is another one of my looks featuring a skirt as a dress, a move I'm sort of starting to love, things lay better without a waist band.

Day 297.
Aerie Knit Sweater $16, Black Poppy Military Jacket $17, H&M Black Dress $10, Nine West Booties $32, Betsey Johnson Glitterati Bag $0; Gift, RayBan Sunglasses $0; Gift, Marc By Marc Jacobs Wishbone $14

Day 290.

LATEST OBSESSION! I got these $120 Nine West Booties on sale on Piperlime for $32, and since they've arrived I've worn them every day! They work with just about every outfit, or at least I make every outfit work with them, and they're so comfortable. These are definitely the booties I've been missing! Piperlime always has the greatest finds! they're Gap Inc. I wonder if I get an employee discount? MUST find out soon!

Day 290.
Forever 21 Leather Jacket $0; Gift, Banana Republic Embellished Tank $16, Old Navy Black Skinnies $11, Banana Republic Snakeskin Purse $18, Nine West Effia Booties $32

Day 286. Part 2.

Right in the middle of the road by the beach in Santa Beezy was this big, rainbow colored statue. Elise and I decided to brave traffic to have a little photo shoot with it!

Day 275.

This outfit was inspired by a photo of Miley Cyrus I saw on The Vogue Diaries ; I've worn this maxi dress with just about every sweater I own, but never thought to pair it with my favorite jacket! Duh! Thanks for the heads up Miley, I like your style! On a side note, I don't think heather gray is exactly my number one color, so to break it up a little bit I added this black and white striped tee to give it more of a skirt effect. Well gypsy girl, I think it helped.

Day 275.
Heritage 1981 Maxi Dress $11, Uniqlo Striped Tee $10, Forever 21 Leather Jacket $0; Gift, Forever 21 Scarf $6.80, Black Poppy Leopard Flats $6.50, Betsey Johnson Panda Earrings $4

Day 254.

As soon as I bought these tights I knew at some point they needed to be paired with this dress, they matched perfectly! Though they looked great together, but seeing the entire dress with the orange tights was a little overwhelming, so part had to be covered up. That brings us to the black top and denim jacket. I really like this outfit, because its fun with a little edge, but it is still reserved enough to wear regularly.
Day 254.
Kirra Tribal Dress $10, Express Black Tee $12, Express Denim Jacket $25, Xhileration Tights $1.50, nicole Boots $12, Marc by Marc Jacobs Wishbone $14

Day 246.

I was feeling like a city girl yesterday, and I pictured myself walking down the bustling streets of New York City or maybe a stroll in Central Park. Aside from that, I've always been a huge fan of target, but since living in California our closest one is like 25 minutes away. Well low and behold, we just got one two exits away!! I spent some time moseying around Thursday evening, and boy was I shocked at some of their sales; I found some great little pieces to update my wardrobe.
This outfit you've seen in different varieties, multiple times, well all it took was a new hat and a pair of tights to make it completely different. The shocking news, the hat was only $4.50 and the tights only $1.50; amazed? I am. Blue and orange are complimentary colors and boy you can tell, they look so good paired with each other, especially this navy and rust orange I have here, you agree?

Day 246.
Heritage 1981 Sweater $11, Billabong Skirt $15, Old Navy Booties $22, Xhileration Hat $4.50, Xhileration Tights $1.50, Claire's Pearls I'm going to estimate about $5, I haven't worn these since I was like seventeen, and bought them even longer before that!

Day 212.

Can I just say I love how these photos came out today (hence why there's so many)! Great job Elise, even though you probably weren't even trying ;)! They just have a sort of feel I really can't explain, they give off kind of a summertime vibe, maybe a little 90s, and grunge, and tribal..maybe! I told you I can't explain it! Either way, I really like this outfit, I envisioned the whole thing laying in bed last night, and it was one of those perfect mornings where you just put all the pieces together without stopping to see what they look like, and voila! Everything falls into place perfectly. The only thing I added at the last minute were the two wishbone necklaces. I chose to wear them together, because the military inspired jacket made me think of them as dog tags.

Day 212.
Kirra Tribal Dress $10, Black Poppy Anorak $17, Black Tights $4, MIA Combat Boots $35, Marc by Marc Jacobs Necklace one $14, one $0;Gift
