New Year New Hair.

With the New Year comes lots of changes and for many that may include a fresh hairstyle to kick things off. I too am changing up my hair for 2018, though it's actually going to be with a lack of change. I recently decided I want to grow my hair long, long, long including giving my bangs a rest and growing them out as well. Oil Me Up // With Hask Hair.

I love working with Hask hair and being able to try out new and amazing products; unlike clothes, hair and beauty regimes are not second nature to me. I never know what products to by or what will work or what a lot of them even do! I was a little nervous to try this new Argan Oil Spray, because I have such fine hair that has a tendency to get greasy if I don't wash it everyday. Adding an oil to my hair seemed like a bit of a red flag, but I was pleasantly surprised with the effects this had on my hair. Even though my hair is fine and needs to be washed pretty regularly, I have noticed since we moved to this coast that it's a little dry. This Argan Oil seems to give it just a little extra moisture, like a leave-in conditioner without my hair being too oily. All you have to do is spray it on wet or dry hair and brush it through and voila, it works as a conditioner and detangler - great for on the go!

Summer Beauty Essentials.

We are headed to the beach tonight, to spend the weekend with Andrew's family at Hilton Head. I'm bringing along some of my favorite Summer beauty products some are new updates to my beachy beauty routine others I have been using for quite some time! I recently started using this Sheer Hydration moisturizer from Neostrata as my face sunscreen on a daily basis but especially on our outdoor days hiking or hanging out at a swimming hole. I am still using my Puristry seaberry moisturizer as well but it doesn't have sunscreen in it so this one from Neostrata is perfect for layering over and getting the protection I need. It's so lightweight I don't feel oily even when I'm applying makeup on top of it. This will probably be a makeup free weekend in the sun so Neostrata will be my go to everyday!

Behind the Hair.

With a lot of big life changes I figured why not also change up my hair routine? With a new city, new house and new job I have had a lot going on and definitely have not had time to find a hair stylist here in Asheville, which a cut is long overdue. My hair has been a little in distress, and with major climate changes was feeling dry and damaged. This is the second time I've used a Hask hair care product and am absolutely loving the Orchid & White Truffle Moisture Rich collection, not only does it smell amazing, after treatment my hair feels totally rejuvenated. Healthy Hair with Hask.

We all know hair and beauty regimens aren't really my strong suit, I've basically been an all clothes all the time kind of girl and have kept my beauty routine as simple and low maintenance as possible. Though this may leave me with extra time to style my outfits in the morning it has also left my hair a little neglected - with my fine, relatively straight hair, feeling dry and damaged. This One Love dry shampoo is a life saver, perfect for mornings when I don't have time to wash my hair or mid day touch-ups. I love how light is feel, I don't feel like I have any product caked into my scalp.
