Staycation Style.

Putting on a Faithfull the Brand piece instantly gives you the feeling of being on vacation. I'd say mainly due to the luxe, lightweight fabrics handcrafted in Bali. Here I am pretending I'm on a lovely vacation at my beach house, while really enjoying a 'staycation' called reality here in Dana Point. Lucky to have beautiful scenery around me everyday, and to be able to dress like I'm on a never ending holiday.

Wear Everywhere Pants.

Transitioning back into Spring and still obsessed with these Faithfull the Brand pants. They're such a great skinny alternative and great for dressing up and down. I particularly like them here paired with these Free People sandals, because the slits in the pant help to really show them off!

Let's Talk About Taupe.

Clearly still figuring out what season it is around here, but I also feel like I've been wearing an overload of black and white lately, so today I opted for a little more color. The fall 2015 color report is a beautiful array of warm, rich colors and I'm especially loving the earthy greens/grays. Aside from the obvious go-to black, I love taupe accents this time of year, especially how they balance out much more vibrant colors like Marsala red and Oak Buff yellow. Not quite in the usual fall color scheme, remember my favorite Faithfull the Brand shirt dress seen here? Well today I used it as an easy layering piece by wearing it completely open, sans belt. White Pants after Labor Day // The Fall Transition.

Sorry for my absence the past two weeks, I wrapped up the end of summer with a little family vacation time and cyber unplugging. Feeling refreshed I'm doing my best to transition into fall while in the midst of a scorching heat wave. No longer is the rule no white pants after Labor Day, winter whites and fresh styles are being promoted through the cooler months and I'm loving it! These lightweight Faithfull the Brand pants are great for transitioning and to make them more fall inspired I added a higher neckline top to balance them out!

Castaway Shirt Dress.

It's crazy that the last weeks of summer are amongst us; with it being so hot it's hard to start thinking about fall trends. I've been wearing this amazingly lightweight shirt dress by Faithfull the Brand on repeat since I scored it at the Blue Eyed Girl trunk show last month. I love it so much I'll definitely transition it into my fall wardrobe but probably more as a tunic of sorts, stay tuned, and stay cool!

Old Faithfull // The Ease of Maxi Dressing.

I love the versatility of a good maxi dress and being able to dress one up or down and transform it from day to night - The first and last time I wore this dress was for a lovely Spring wedding (see here) and have been looking for the perfect opportunity to wear it again. I like the contrast between the edginess of the boots and vest with the ladylike floral print. They compliment each other well for an easy, everyday look.
