Had Me at Hello.

Two things about this top basically had me at hello, the floral print, because I've almost never met a floral print I didn't like and the bell sleeves. There's just something extra fun and flirty about all the design detail on this piece and it's great for dressing up or down. I went for a more casual, daytime look the other day pairing it with these Old Navy culottes I can't seem to stop wearing and some funky boots for subtle print mixing.

Staycation Style.

Putting on a Faithfull the Brand piece instantly gives you the feeling of being on vacation. I'd say mainly due to the luxe, lightweight fabrics handcrafted in Bali. Here I am pretending I'm on a lovely vacation at my beach house, while really enjoying a 'staycation' called reality here in Dana Point. Lucky to have beautiful scenery around me everyday, and to be able to dress like I'm on a never ending holiday.

Frida Mini.

The minute I saw this Free People dress I immediately fell in love, there was just something about the colors combined with the beautiful embroidery. I found it here on super sale; most people are saying it is too short to be a dress but here's a secret, try pairing it with shorts underneath like I did, you can't even tell but it gives you a little extra coverage just in case!

Festival Ready.

Though I may not be headed to the desert for a weekend filled with music, fashion and fun, I can't help but be inspired by Coachella and want to rock bohemian looks everyday. Festival season is among us and that means lots of funky 70s inspired style with an anything goes mindset. Easy Floral Dress.

I love putting a casual spin on a cute Spring dress. This knit BCBGeneration number is perfect for dressing up or down; like here paired with sneakers and a denim jacket for a day exploring LA makes for an easy casual look. Off the Shoulder.

One of the biggest trends for the upcoming season is off the shoulder styles. Between tops and dresses you'll be seeing tons of off the shoulder looks from festival season throughout the Summer months. I hate to wear strapless bras, but this cute, off the shoulder top by Free People was easy to wear with a little bandeau here, and some nippies for extra coverage here. Boho Valentine.

Valentine's Day has never been an overly celebrated holiday for Andrew and I. For us it's always been very low-key with basically no gifts and no over the top date. That doesn't mean we won't do anything at all on February 14th, it just means I won't be wearing your traditional red or pink cocktail dress and heading out for a night on the town. This year I think we'll be celebrating the day of love surrounded by a lot of our loved ones, because we will be in Los Angeles for the weekend hanging out with family. As much as I love Andrew, I'm more excited for our Monday afternoon tickets to the Rain Room at LACMA than celebrating Valentine's day! So here I'm sharing with you a non-traditional V-Day look with a fun bohemian influence, perfect for a casual day date, exploring LA.

Let's Talk About Taupe.

Clearly still figuring out what season it is around here, but I also feel like I've been wearing an overload of black and white lately, so today I opted for a little more color. The fall 2015 color report is a beautiful array of warm, rich colors and I'm especially loving the earthy greens/grays. Aside from the obvious go-to black, I love taupe accents this time of year, especially how they balance out much more vibrant colors like Marsala red and Oak Buff yellow. Not quite in the usual fall color scheme, remember my favorite Faithfull the Brand shirt dress seen here? Well today I used it as an easy layering piece by wearing it completely open, sans belt. Castaway Shirt Dress.

It's crazy that the last weeks of summer are amongst us; with it being so hot it's hard to start thinking about fall trends. I've been wearing this amazingly lightweight shirt dress by Faithfull the Brand on repeat since I scored it at the Blue Eyed Girl trunk show last month. I love it so much I'll definitely transition it into my fall wardrobe but probably more as a tunic of sorts, stay tuned, and stay cool!
