New Year New Style Part Two.

Andrew and I usually spend our New Year's Eves a little more low key just the two of us, but this year I think we are busting out the sequins to head to a party. Another upcoming trend for 2017 is strong shoulders, taking some influence from those good ole' power suits, and helping us ladies strut our stuff while standing tall. I'm loving this cape blazer from She In, because not only is it a great layering piece for day or night it has strong, structured shoulders giving it the perfect amount of edge! What better way to ring in the New Year than feeling extra fierce?!

New Year New Style.

With a new year comes new goals, new identities, new resolutions and of course new styles. It's always interesting to see what predicted trends forge on throughout the Spring and which older styles stay strong into the next year. One prediction headed our way is a major play with sleepwear on the streets - you'll be seeing even more pajama styles in the coming year from full pj sets to playing with silky separates and of course layering with robes. I'm still getting used to the idea, but am loving the comfort of an easy layer, and may be ringing in the New Year with this bold robe layered over a velvet mini.

January One.

Happy New Year! Can't believe it's 2016 already! Looking back 2015 was really good to me, I got to experiences lots of new things and spend basically all my free time surrounded by family. From a couple family vacations both on my side and Andrew's, to welcoming (from a distance) my new niece into the world, to building friendships with fellow bloggers, and seeing friends and family getting married! 2015 was really filled with so much happiness!

I'm not really big on New Year's resolutions, because I'm not that keen on setting myself up for disappointment, but I feel it's always good to go into the new year with positive vibes and to just always work on being a better person and helping others. This year I want to travel and go on new adventures with all the people I love, starting with my first visit to Portland in just a couple weeks! Any suggestions on the best food, please feel free to advice. Other than that I can't wait to see what the future holds both near and far!
