What says Summer more than a palm leaf printed dress?! This dress is two of my favorite things, easy and breezy and I love the cut out detail around the neckline. For me, having a larger bust, a lot of cut out styles don't work so well or it's complicated to find a compatible bra, this cut out sits high enough up and has a thicker strap so it is just so easy, and low maintenance to wear, AND it's under $20. Tried to make the look a little more funky the way I like to, by pairing it with these sporty, rose gold Skechers sandals - I can't resist a metallic detail when I can add one and these sandals are ridiculously comfortable. Earlier this week walked all the way into town to the Orange Peel, danced my tushy off at a LANY concert and walked home in these puppies and my feet still felt amazing, so cheers to these bad boys!

Sporty for Spring.
When I saw this top at the Cabi Scoop, I immediately fell in love with the sporty trim. I've said it before I'm all about sportswear this season and love mixing casual styles with more classic silhouettes. This top will definitely be a staple for me this season for dressing up and down along with these extremely comfortable, stretchy white jeans. Your closet is dying for the perfect pair of crop flares for Spring and these very well may be them!

Simplified Style.
Every season there are a handful of new trends that trickle down through the masses and get played with for a few months, some things stick and other fads not so much. One trend that seems to be sticking around from Fall is minimalism. While perusing online shopping sites last week I noticed how simplified everything seems to be; a lot of basic, classic silhouettes in neutral colors and with barely to no print. Of course I'm a fan of unique silhouettes and I'll take a floral print any day of the week, but especially this time of year I think some minimalistic pieces are great to add to your closet and also help you transition between seasons, it's much easier to keep up with changing weather patterns with neutral, classic styles you can interchange! How are you feeling about minimalism in street style?

Okay to be Casual.
This has been one of the coldest and dampest winters I've experienced since living in California, and with lower temperatures and trying to navigate the rain it's hard not to want to be comfortable at all times. Lucky for us, casual, athletic style has such a major role in street style these days and we can get away with wearing our favorite cozy pieces out on the town with tennis shoes in tow. This look is super simple but I love some of the more subtle details like the embroidery on the jeans and the sequin bandana I added as a little topper.

Best Foot Forward.
A new year always symbolizes a new beginning of sorts and not only did we recently begin the year 2017, yesterday I celebrated my 26th birthday. I've decided this year is going to be one of positivity and living a healthier life both physically and mentally. In November of last year I signed up for my first gym membership in order to steer myself into a more active lifestyle; I'm actually surprised with how much I enjoy exercising in a gym setting and how rewarding it feels to be committed to fitness. In an effort to live with a healthier mindset I'm going to try my best not to sweat the small stuff this year. My mom told me the other day, 'there is no point stressing out because whether you stress about a situation or not, the outcome will be the same as long as you are doing your best.' Instead of getting worked up when things don't always seem to be working out I'm going to just put my best foot forward and assume whatever happens is what meant to happen. And on that note speaking of the best foot, these Skechers sneakers are amazing, definitely going to be my fitness companion in the coming months, because they are so unbelievably comfortable, and I love how neutral they are because they can easily transfer from the gym to the streets.

Retro Upgrade with Skechers.
We've talked in recent seasons about the immersion of sportswear into high fashion, and this season these trends are stronger than ever. There's no better way to upgrade your outfit than by pairing your look with a killer pair of sneakers. Right now one of my top picks would be the Skechers Originals collection, a blend of retro inspired kicks in a wide variety of colors and prints, and none of them are over $70. Here I'm wearing the Retros OG 82, in burgundy, which is a color I'm loving for adding a slight accent to neutral looks. It may be a little out of your comfort zone to try this trend at first but trust me your sartorial self and your feet will be thanking you later! Did I mention how comfy these are?!
