Happy Monday ya'll! Been MIA the past few days after spending a wonderful, adventure filled weekend with some family and hope you all got to enjoy something fun as well! At the end of last week, I restyled one of my favorite Cabi pieces from the Spring collection, this midi skirt, seen a couple months ago here. I think the bold print and various colors make it such a great piece for mixing prints and of course the perfect contrasting print during Summer months is a fun, nautical stripe. I haven't worn this top since last year and told myself it was either time to let it go or wear it, so I opted to try to style it once more and help it breathe new life.

Extreme Wide Legs.
What I love most about this look is its' effortlessness. While my bohemian side always seems to make a strong appearance during the Summer months this boho chic Free People look is so easy to accomplish. Free People had a sale on sale last week and I scooped up these Take it To the Extreme Wide Leg pants for under $25, they are now sold out but there are similar ones here. I was really intrigued with these bottoms because they read like a maxi skirt and this beautiful seagrass color is such a great neutral for transitioning into Spring and pairing with a great ankle bootie. All I did to top off this look was pair with an everyday tee and finish the look with my current favorite tassel necklace handmade by the Sweet Tea Bohemian that you can find locally at the Nest Boutique here in Asheville. See? Like I said, easy breezy bohemian vibes to get me through this hump day!
Black Swan.
I wore this look on Friday and between the tulle dress and the lace up ballet flats I felt like a ballerina. Most of you don't know I did ballet for 13 years growing up and I don't think it ever leaves your blood. I found this dress on super sale at Anthropologie so it is of course sold out but I linked a similar one here. Once again this is one of those pieces that may seem too formal to wear on a Friday afternoon, so I did my best to make it more casual with a flat shoe and anytime accessories. Not that I don't appreciate a good special occasion piece, but when something is so special why hide it away in your closet? Hope ya'll had an amazing weekend and here's to a great week!
Summer Whites Part 3.
Happy Friday ya'll! I'm rounding out my week of summer whites with the perfect lace tank. This Cabi clothing lace cami is the perfect summer staple because it's so great for day or night. I've worn it a few different ways but my favorite is definitely pairing it with a skinny jean so you can really see the lace detailing around the hemline. This is the perfect any occasion white piece for your closet!
Simple Slip.
Hope everyone had an amazing weekend! I found myself bopping around Asheville Saturday afternoon in this beautiful, embroidered slip dress from Anthropologie. I fell in love with this piece the moment I saw it but was a little intimidated by its' elegance and felt I would have nowhere to wear it because it was too formal. After it went on sale and I felt I couldn't live without it I realized I wanted to wear it out and take this beauty on the town so I was determined to make it work in this most casual way possible. I feel the execution of this look was all about keeping it simple; the dress has so much detail that it needed to be paired with the most basic pieces like my Birkenstocks to make it normal for everyday wear. Not many accessories or jewelry needed which was perfect for an extra, hot summer day!
Anthropologie Dress currently sold out but similar here, Birkenstocks here, Anita Bilardi Bag here

LYD.
Happy Friday everyone! With a mid week holiday, this week seemed to fly by and I can't believe we are already to another weekend! The humidity has kicked in this week and it has been extra hot and sticky, so naturally all I want to wear is light and breezy sundresses, like this one from Tosave. Of course it's my favorite color for the season, I love the high neckline detail and the waist ties are versatile so you can opt for a more belted look or let it hang shift style like I chose to. Nothing like a little yellow dress to brighten up your weekend style!

Summer is Flashing By.
This summer seems to be flying by like a flash of lightning and I have been wearing this jumpsuit all season long. You may remember this suspender style jumpsuit from a few months ago (seen here). I have admittedly been living in it ever since. I love the versatility with the straps being adjustable you can either wear it tied high like I previously did as a jumpsuit or tied low like shown here for more of an overall style. This piece also comes in black and is amazingly lightweight making it such a great piece to have for extra warm summer days!
