Black Slate.

Happy Hump Day ya'll! I wore this look last week before the temperatures dropped to frigid and I think it's such a great look for any occasion in cooler months. Basically with over half of the look being all black and classic you could just continuously swap your top for a fresh outfit day or night. This Akemi + Kin blouse is back in stock in a few sizes and I think the embroidery will easily help carry it into Spring, you can shop it here. Hope your first week of 2018 is off to a great start!

It's a Denim Thing.

How's it going everyone?! You've probably all learned whether you've been following along for years or are pretty new to Fashion by Day, that I love jeans. I truly am a denim girl, and can happily wears jeans everyday of the week. For me fit is obviously a major factor but comfort is definitely key! I was recently given a couple pairs of Crafted by Lee jeans like the slim straight's I'm wearing here, and I have to say I'm loving them. The ones I'm wearing with the patch pocket are part of the upcoming collection but I found almost identical ones here, and they're currently on sale for under $25. Even full price their styles are still sitting comfortably under $40 which is pretty amazing for a quality, comfortable pair of jeans. If you're in the market for a new pair of jeans I suggest heading to Target and trying a few pairs out!

Icy Hues.

We all know I'm a big fan of winter whites, but I am now I'm jumping on as a fan of icy hues and cool pastels in the colder months. I am so in love with this cozy, Aerie sweatshirt it comes in about 4 different colors and is currently on sale for about $16, you can shop it here. I felt this look catered best to Fall fashion by styling the lighter colors with contrasting black accessories. How do you feel about pastels for Fall?

WWW Style.

It's no secret that the Who What Wear Collection available at Target is seriously killing it. They are constantly releasing new on trend items that are surprisingly good quality and can easily take you from work to play. I find myself roaming around Target pretty regularly and perusing their apparel sale, where this past week I found this Who What Wear top for under $15. Of course I love it because it's black and white, but I love the femininity of the silhouette yet the little bit of edge because the polka dots. It was on sale at my store but you can still buy it online at regular price which is still under $25. I opted for an all black look but added some more funky elements with my leopard print belt from Old Navy and my two toned Cabi Booties so the look wasn't too serious! Because let's face it, who wants to take themselves too seriously?!

Lady in Red.

Happy Friday Everyone! For me personally, this Friday couldn't have come soon enough it's the beginning of my three day weekend, and it was a much needed break from work. I wore this look two days ago and it still may have been a little pre mature due to such high temperatures but I couldn't wait any longer to wear this adorable Line & Dot sweater. She also comes in black if the red is a little out of your comfort zone, and is so soft and cozy I will be wearing it all season long, day and night. I paired it with these Cabi pants from a couple seasons ago, but coincidentally Anthropologie did a pair this season that looks almost identical which you can shop here. Andrew and I are having an impromptu date night tonight to see Sylvan Esso so I am off to pick my outfit for that! What are ya'll up to this weekend? Share your plans below!

Edgy Casual.

Sunday afternoon's style consisted of a transitional look with one of my current favorite Cabi pieces, the Hanson Anorak. When I featured this jacket a couple weeks ago I made it pretty clear that this would be a staple in my closet this Fall and for seasons to come and I wasn't exaggerating. I layered it over a more feminine dress to dress it down and give it a little bit of an edgy, casual feel for a Sunday afternoon lunch break with Andrew.

First Day of Fall Fashion.

Happy Friday ya'll, and more importantly Happy 1st Day of Fall! I think my mental preparation for the first day of Autumn is what contributed to all the black clothing this week. I've been trying to re-style some old favorites and breathe new life into my wardrobe by only minor updates, like this Cabi skirt that is the perfect addition to your wardrobe. It's such a staple and will so easily pair with classic pieces in your closet for endless mix and matching! This is any easy look for the weekend, I opted for a ballet flat instead of a bootie here since we are still transitioning and temperatures are a bit high, this is also a good way to add a feminine touch to a slightly more masculine and edgy look.
