Black Slate.

Happy Hump Day ya'll! I wore this look last week before the temperatures dropped to frigid and I think it's such a great look for any occasion in cooler months. Basically with over half of the look being all black and classic you could just continuously swap your top for a fresh outfit day or night. This Akemi + Kin blouse is back in stock in a few sizes and I think the embroidery will easily help carry it into Spring, you can shop it here. Hope your first week of 2018 is off to a great start!

Casual Christmas.

Happy Holidays y'all! For those who celebrated Christmas this weekend hope you all had the merriest of days! I spent the holiday at my in-laws house and had so much fun waking up with my nieces on Christmas morning! This isn't my look from the holiday, but I did wear almost an identical outfit for Christmas Eve; picture same look with all black turtleneck. Since I scooped up this ultra fuzzy cardigan last week I can't stop wearing it, and lucky for you, it is currently on sale for half off, putting it under $75, and you can shop it here. So many crazy online sales happening what are you shopping today?!

How bout that weather? When we first moved to Asheville everyone told us we may get one good day of snow all winter, a light dusting they said, well how wrong they were that we were graced with the most beautiful two days of snowfall. I haven't experienced snow like that since I was in high school back in Ohio, and I forgot how magical it was to have a real life snow day. Not joke, work got cancelled so I really did have a snow day! In other news, on that same beautiful day Andrew's brother and sister-in-law graced us with another beautiful baby girl, Lofton Ann, and we are so happy to have her joining us for the holidays! In outfit news, this Field of Flowers coat has been my go-to layer for pretty much everything since Thanksgiving, and it sadly sold out since yesterday, however I linked it in another color here.

Everything Blouse.

You guys! I can't believe it's Thanksgiving week already, November is just flying by! This is my first year blogging in a climate where it is actually cold and has real seasonal change so I'm honestly finding it very hard to shoot my looks to share with you all! I'm going to try to keep up with about two a week or I'll need to start getting really creative with just sharing outerwear! This outfit is from the middle of last week and is an eclectic mix of so many of my favorite things. The top alone combines stripes, floral print and embroidery and I still paired the outfit with some faux fur and a touch of snakeskin. For me it works because aside from the bold flowers, everything in this look is very neutral so the texture is needed to keep it exciting! This blouse would also be a great piece for Thanksgiving dinner if you're still looking for a last minute outfit!

Knits on Knits.

The temperature dropped drastically around here this week, seriously there was some snow stuck on the ground Sunday, and all I want to do is bundle up in my coziest pieces over and over again! With that in mind I restyled this sweater from last week and this dress because they are two of my current favorite pieces for Fall and clearly so versatile. I added a belt at the waist and tucked in just the front of my sweater so it gave off the illusion of a skirt and top! Stay cozy friends :)

Playful Pairing.

Happy Monday everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts the past week, I have been busy busy on the go, but I have some great looks to share with you this week! Starting with this outfit from the end of the week; it brings me great satisfaction to breathe new life into something that has been sitting in my closet for a long time. I have had this Old Navy skirt for years you've seen it here, and it's a piece I never want to get rid of though don't find myself wearing very often. I really wanted to restyle this sweater from a couple weeks ago (here) with a skirt the to give it some versatility and felt it was the perfect match with this modern pencil skirt. Creating a street style look with a twist, I felt this look worked better a little more playfully styled, so I opted for a funky oxford instead of a classic bootie as I felt that would make it too serious. Don't take yourselves too seriously today, enjoy your Monday!

Stylish Staples.

Hey Ya'll! Happy Sunday! As I'm gearing up to face a new week I'm enjoying a cup of tea with the windows open and it is raining heavily outside, very quaint I must admit. This was a go go weekend filled with fun, and I felt I needed a little bit of relaxing 'me' time before diving back into Monday morning! Hope you all enjoyed your weekends as well! This look is from the end of last week and is a combination of oldie but goodie pieces mixed with a couple new items that are on sale thru tomorrow! The focal point of this look is this $6 tee I picked up from Old Navy; I love that it is neutral but still has a fun animal print. I layered it with a faux fur vest I scooped up from Target over two years ago and an older midi skirt from SheIn. I accessorized with this Serefina necklace that is still available and on sale additional 40% off. I topped off the look with a darker lip that perfectly coordinated with an Old Navy clutch I've had for a few years. It's amazing how something as simple as a fresh t-shirt can give you the inspiration you need to create something exciting from your wardrobe. I challenge you to re-style some old pieces in your closet this week!
