How bout that weather? When we first moved to Asheville everyone told us we may get one good day of snow all winter, a light dusting they said, well how wrong they were that we were graced with the most beautiful two days of snowfall. I haven't experienced snow like that since I was in high school back in Ohio, and I forgot how magical it was to have a real life snow day. Not joke, work got cancelled so I really did have a snow day! In other news, on that same beautiful day Andrew's brother and sister-in-law graced us with another beautiful baby girl, Lofton Ann, and we are so happy to have her joining us for the holidays! In outfit news, this Field of Flowers coat has been my go-to layer for pretty much everything since Thanksgiving, and it sadly sold out since yesterday, however I linked it in another color here.

Cold Weather Casual.
The holiday season is in full swing and looking at my calendar for the next few weeks, it is going to fly by because we have such a busy and exciting schedule. Andrew snapped these photos over the weekend when we showed up at the mall to do a little holiday shopping and realized we arrived an hour before it opened, whoops! I'm wearing a lot of pieces I've had in my closet for some time now, but added a fun little cap from Anthropologie to modernize the look and make these staples feel fresh. I bought this hat right before Thanksgiving and have literally worn it all but two days since, I may be a little obsessed and if you're on board with the trend you can shop it and similar styles here.
Hat and Boots for Fall, Oh My.
After giving them a few seasons of rest, I'm ready to bring out some taller boots and give my ankle boots a little rest (once in a while). These boots are a casual mid-calf but this year I think you'll be seeing lots of knee high and over the knee pairs; which I think pair perfectly with a fun, wide brim felt hat and fall layers, slightly explorer-esque and a little western.

Down on the West Coast.
Went a little country and a little 90s for a casual beach day. Happily found these vintage Wranglers denim cut-offs at Crossroads Trading Co. for less than ten dollars, I figured for that price I should give them a try.

Sunshine Day.
Yesterday when I wore this look Southern California was suffering from the inevitable June Gloom, today as I write this it's a beautiful 80 degree and sunny day. I guess you get what you wish for! I like the eclectic-ness of this look and I think it really helps embody my personal style: casual-cool, slightly menswear inspired, lots of texture, a dash of floral print, fabulous shoes: my favorite aspects.
