Once again another ruffle, I clearly can't get enough, but this is just the touch of French Girl every closet needs. It is such an easy and versatile piece that will look great tucked into jeans, paired with a fabulous skirt or layered under your favorite dress or jumpsuit. Fem Favorites.

I opted for extra feminine vibes one day earlier this week by restyling some old favorites I've had in my closet for some time. You've been seeing this midi skirt for years and it's so basic that I keep finding new ways to reinvent it every season. Over the next couple of months I'm setting myself on a styling and budget challenge to work on restyling clothes I already have to make them fresh and exciting in an effort to slow down on my clothing spending. Andrew and I are trying to plan a trip over seas near the end of the year so I will be working to save towards that. So stay tuned for some extra styling tips heading your way with pieces you've seen once, twice, maybe a dozen times! This look is made up of pieces I have had for a while like the top seen here, and the skirt here & here, but I did accent it with a fun, new pair of Steve Madden sandals and suddenly the look felt fresh again. These sandals haven't gone on sale quite yet, I found mine at local shoe shop Tops for under $40 but Target has also done an extremely similar pair here for under $25.

Happy Friday everyone! With a mid week holiday, this week seemed to fly by and I can't believe we are already to another weekend! The humidity has kicked in this week and it has been extra hot and sticky, so naturally all I want to wear is light and breezy sundresses, like this one from Tosave. Of course it's my favorite color for the season, I love the high neckline detail and the waist ties are versatile so you can opt for a more belted look or let it hang shift style like I chose to. Nothing like a little yellow dress to brighten up your weekend style!

Staples of Summer.

A little sunburn and my favorite summer staples made up this look from a couple days ago. Of course it's always fun to wear bold or trendy pieces but it's amazing what you can do with some great, classic items and mix and match them endlessly. Not that I wouldn't wear them through various seasons, but I do love me some nautical stripes throughout the warmer months and this Cabi sweater is so chic; the length pairs well with basically everything from dresses, jeans and short looks. And of course this time of year you need a great pair of espadrilles and these Steve Madden wedges are so neutral they literally go with everything! To tie the look together I had this mossy gray Tosave shift dress as the perfect blank canvas for all my favorite summer accessories!

Playing with Proportions.

Playing with oversized proportions on this gloomy Monday. Really made a push today to pretend that it was Spring here in Asheville, but even though it was just a few days ago, it is extra cold and rainy here today. I immediately fell in love with this sheer top which I think is intended to be more of a cover up, but I'm loving it paired with both oversized and skinny jeans. White tops seriously never go out of style so an updated version with fun oversized flutter sleeves is right down my alley for Summer style!

Effortless Easter.

Happy Easter! I've spent the entire weekend in this amazing, oversized Akemi + Kim jumpsuit from Anthropologie; it comes in three colors and is so lightweight you feel like you're not wearing anything! I wore it casually yesterday with some gladiator sandals and a neckerchief exploring downtown Greenville, and restyled it for Easter with these neutral, Steve Madden lace up wedges. I found them at the Greenville T.J. Maxx for $30 but I linked them below as well. They will be my go to all Summer long because they are such a great color and will basically go with everything! Hope everyone is enjoying this weekend with friends and family, I'll be kickin' it in the pool with my nieces as soon as the sun comes out!

Spring Dresses Now.

This weekend spoiled us with a little taste of Spring weather with temperatures in the high 70s and I'll admit I even got to spend a little time at the beach yesterday. As much as I'm looking forward to warmer temps and Spring fashion, I know we still have some cooler days ahead and may have to dress accordingly. Here's how I'm wearing a girly Spring dress now, easy peasy paired with some suede over the knee boots. For even cooler days add an edgy leather jacket or maybe even some fishnet tights for a complete look.
