Playing with Proportions.

Playing with oversized proportions on this gloomy Monday. Really made a push today to pretend that it was Spring here in Asheville, but even though it was just a few days ago, it is extra cold and rainy here today. I immediately fell in love with this sheer top which I think is intended to be more of a cover up, but I'm loving it paired with both oversized and skinny jeans. White tops seriously never go out of style so an updated version with fun oversized flutter sleeves is right down my alley for Summer style!

Bold Florals.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, ours was busy busy between having a garage sale all day Saturday and a fun little collaboration I did with Skechers today, more on that later! A major Spring trend seen on runways was bold floral prints; I know I know you're thinking florals for Spring, groundbreaking. But try getting out of your comfort zone with bolder colors and more exaggerated prints. I took this ladylike Romwe dress and made it more casual for an easy Sunday afternoon with flat, sporty sandals and a denim jacket to top it off.

Modern Safari.

Aside from florals, I'm not one to wear bold prints, but I was just drawn to this fun leopard print Cabi blouse.  There's just something about the combination of colors, combined with the classic silhouette that I couldn't stop thinking about. Layered with this vest I felt like I was headed out on a modern day safari!

Summer Style with Sedona East.

Embracing the start of Summer with this super cute outfit from Sedona East. Loving this nautical inspired little crop perfect to pair with a long skirt like here, or with a paired of great, high waisted denim. Now I just wish Southern California would embrace Summer too, and stop being so gloomy!

Cabi Blogger Day.

Last month I had the honor to join an amazing group of other talented and stylish bloggers at the Cabi offices for an amazing, Cabi Blogger Day! We had the privilege to tour the beautiful, new offices as well as meet the design and creative teams, get a sneak peek at the Fall line (which is so amazing) and have a fun photo shoot with their creative director Daniele Trussardi! Not only getting to know all these other bloggers and the founders of Cabi we learned so much about the amazing philanthropic work of the Heart of Cabi foundation. If I didn't already love this amazing brand, I love it even more now! Thank you Cabi for such a great day! Here's a peek at all the fun!

Blogger of the Month // The Easy Shirt Dress.

Ah the shirt dress. I'm not even really sure this can be described as a trend, because shirt dresses are a closet staple season after season all throughout the year. All I can say is with this look, OC Style Report and I decided to modernize it to cater to this season. What I'm really loving about this California Tailor piece is the midi length, that translates so well to hemlines I'm sure you've been seeing everywhere. We chose to pair it with a statement tassel necklace and trendy little mules for a Spring '16 appropriate look. Shirt dresses are great for dressing up or down, or even using as layering pieces like wearing it open as a kimono or throwing it on as a bathing suit cover-up!

Playful Playsuit.

Rompers are typically a tough fit for me, based on my body shape its hard to get something that is proportionate to all of my curves. That's what I absolutely love this floral romper set from Tobi because it's actually a two piece set, which makes it so much easier to fit. I'm all about matchy matchy sets for Summer and love this one because you can dress it up for a bridal shower or wear it for a casual beach day! Hope everyone has a great weekend, I'm keeping my fingers crossed the sun actually makes an appearance here in SoCal!

Blogger of the Month // The Summer Trench.

We all know I'm a layerer; for me an outfit never seems complete without one extra piece of clothing draped on top. That is why I absolutely love a lightweight trench coat to polish off Spring and Summer looks. Trenches are such a classic and staple item to have in your closet for Fall, but why not add a little structure to a cute summer look this season as well?

Nautical Nonsense.

I love a good stripe, and this time of year nautical inspired blue and white stripes seem to reinvent themselves again and again. And what's even better than a little nautical nonsense? A head to toe striped matching set complete with navy stripes and palazzo pants. Loving this crop top and these palazzo pants from Tobi they're great for dressing up or down, I chose to wear them for a casual day look topped off with a wide brim fedora and lace-up espadrilles.
