Cabi Scoop 2017.

Week before last I had the honor of attending my 2nd Cabi Scoop to date, and I have to say it is now going to be an event I look forward to every year! The day of the show I arrived in San Diego to meet up with my fellow Cabi bloggers at the San Diego Convention Center. We were escorted to our seats right alongside the runway and were immediately immersed into the motivational words of Cabi president, Kimberly Inskeep, followed by 15 minutes of fun, fabulous fashion from the Spring 17' Je Nais Se Quois collection, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. You can see the entire collection here. Falling only 2nd to the awarding of the Cabi Girl my favorite part of the show is when the design team comes to the runway and walks you through all the trends and stories that make up the collection. They restyle all the outfits giving you even more inspiration for how to wear each piece! I'm really excited about the heavy amount of navy pieces for Spring, it is such a great neutral for Spring and will give me a little break from all the black we know I love to wear! After the show ended we had the pleasure of dining at an amazing restaurant in Little Italy, Juniper & Ivy, if you ever make it there please try the Carne Cruda Asada and their Pineapple Expression cocktail, trust me you'll enjoy both! After a wonderful evening with all these inspiring women I curled up in my cozy bed at the Omni located in the Gaslamp Quarter across from the convention center. Reflecting on this event filled day I feel so lucky to be involved with such an amazing brand that works so hard to empower women of all ages with all different backgrounds, I feel very proud to wear their clothes.

Cabi Blogger Day.

Last month I had the honor to join an amazing group of other talented and stylish bloggers at the Cabi offices for an amazing, Cabi Blogger Day! We had the privilege to tour the beautiful, new offices as well as meet the design and creative teams, get a sneak peek at the Fall line (which is so amazing) and have a fun photo shoot with their creative director Daniele Trussardi! Not only getting to know all these other bloggers and the founders of Cabi we learned so much about the amazing philanthropic work of the Heart of Cabi foundation. If I didn't already love this amazing brand, I love it even more now! Thank you Cabi for such a great day! Here's a peek at all the fun!

Modern Vintage.

For the past three months I've had the privilege of being a part of the OC Style Report team and working with this lovely group of ladies. Last night founders Rachael and Natalie Dickens hosted an event at Sourced Collective in Laguna Beach to showcase how you can transform vintage pieces into modern trends for every day wear. Everyone had a blast shopping current pieces from Taim Boutique, vintage pieces from Sourced and handmade jewelry from La Weez jewelry. I showed up to the event wearing a retro vintage button down with boyfriend jeans, and mule-esque sandals: my interpretation of modern vintage.

Fair Flare.

Summer wouldn't be complete without a trip to the fair, so for the first time Elise, Andrew and I visited the O.C. fair. Keeping it casual in a lightweight tunic from Free People and some gladiator sandals we enjoyed some unhealthy grub and checked out all the animals. My personal favorite being the little piglets, which were only TWO days old! I was on the verge of reaching into the pen and hiding one in my purse! For those of you in the Orange County area looking to save some money on the fair, check out the O.C. Fair Express. A $3 round trip shuttle ride with a $2 fair admission coupon (admission is normally $11 accompanied by a $7 parking fee). Can't really beat the deal.

OC Fashion Week.

Still adjusting to having the majority of my weekends free from the retail world, and completely cramming them with activities. This past weekend was non-stop from one event to the other, and the highlight was attending the student design show for Orange County Fashion Week. A runway show featuring the work of grad student designers along with Project Runway alums Michael Costello and Gordana Gehlhausen (the judges). I was highly impressed at the creative designs and immaculate detailing. Congratulations to the 1st place winner, Angela Wu, with her line, 'Fearless Beauty,' a Lady Gagaesque, feminine warrior collection.

Love the colors in the platform.
