Turquoise Safari.

I'm not sure how turquoise does it, but somehow it seems to go with everything, the unexpected neutral to help liven up our wardrobes. I love some good turquoise accessories, especially in the warmer months of the year, and I think they have the best effect when paired with bright whites, and other light colored neutrals. The tribal flair of this necklace ties in really well with this linen utility vest I thrifted earlier this week, I'm ready for a Safari!

Not So Ugly Sweater.

In honor of National Ugly Christmas Sweater day, I thought we should take a moment to reflect on the this joyous day. What started as a joke a few years back to bring some lighthearted and immature fun to the holidays, where everyone was scrounging up all of Grandma's old holiday sweaters and hitting thrift stores across town to attend parties with friends and mock one another. With vintage inspired pieces becoming such a trend in recent seasons, I'm starting to find more holiday sweaters making their way to current stores and becoming, well, much less ugly. For instance I'm loving this Free People Rudolph Sweater, it has just the right blend of holiday spirit, but keeps to the perfect palette of colors and maintains such a versatile silhouette. You won't see this baby at any Ugly Sweater parties!

Show Off Your Style.

In my eyes, your footwear of choice are the most important aspect of any outfit. I like for my shoes to be seen and make a statement, that's why I think its crucial to wear bottoms that show off what you're walking in. Here I chose the Free People ankle crop skinnies, to show off these beautiful Magnet clogs by Bed Stu.

OC Fashion Week.

Still adjusting to having the majority of my weekends free from the retail world, and completely cramming them with activities. This past weekend was non-stop from one event to the other, and the highlight was attending the student design show for Orange County Fashion Week. A runway show featuring the work of grad student designers along with Project Runway alums Michael Costello and Gordana Gehlhausen (the judges). I was highly impressed at the creative designs and immaculate detailing. Congratulations to the 1st place winner, Angela Wu, with her line, 'Fearless Beauty,' a Lady Gagaesque, feminine warrior collection.

Love the colors in the platform.
