One Jumpsuit // Two Ways.

I feel like a black jumpsuit is becoming such a staple in any gals wardrobe, they're versatile and can be easily accessorized for basically any occasion. I love this jumpsuit from Cabi Clothing, it's such a flattering silhouette with it's cinched waist, v-neckline and 3/4 length sleeves. I styled this two ways to give you a little inspiration for your Thanksgiving day looks. Whether you're traveling to visit family and want a more casual look or you're aiming for a little more holiday glitz, this jumpsuit easily does the trick. And the kicker is, it's relaxed enough that know one will be able to see how much turkey you've eaten!

Dress Refresh.

Some days I go into my closet and just can't shake the feeling that everything looks the same, and I am bored. For me it's not realistic to keep up on all of the latest fashions and trends, so I have to refresh older styles to make them seem new to me and more current in fashion. Maxi dresses are a great way to create multiple outfits, because they automatically double as a skirt with little effort. The key to layering with a maxi is to have at least one structured piece over top to give you some shape. You don't want the layers to just keep piling on so you look frumpy. The belted vest definitely helped, because I was able to emphasize my waist while still wearing multiple layers.  I was amazed at how many compliments I got on this 'skirt' because it's over a year old an I've worn it dozens of times, but with a little love it seemed brand new!

FBD New Look.

It's the beginning of a new season, the start of a new week, and of course the first day of the rest of your life; why not trying something new today?! You've probably noticed the blog is trying something new with an updated and more sophisticated look. I'm trying that out too, with a few tips I read from WhoWhatWear this morning. Instead of wearing my usually statement necklace, I wrapped up my scarf to be a small neckerchief, no necklace needed. And of course I needed a jacket but to help my look stay on the edge, I chose to don it as a cape, wearing it perched on my shoulders. Small touch-ups like this can make an outfit feel fresh again and give you just enough inspiration to try something new!
