It's never too early to start planning ahead and with it less than a week away (which I really can't believe) I'd say it's a good a time as any to start outfit planning for the 4th of July, especially if you're celebrating over the weekend. It just so happens that my new favorite midi dress is the perfect combination of red, white and blue so it's definitely what I'll be wearing at some point over the weekend. I have more casual plans just hanging with the family, so I opted for a more bohemian twist with flat sandals and some layered bracelets. What are ya'll wearing for the upcoming holiday?

July Fourth.
Happy 4th of July everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your long, holiday weekends with your friends and family. Red, white and blue has never really been my thing so I usually go for a more subtle approach to patriotism. Nothing like a bold, red lip to top off a blue and white look you already have hanging in your closet. So in love with this little crop from Sedona East, it's been perfect for this weekend but will be in full rotation all season long!

Patriotic Pants.
Fashionable on the 4th of July thanks to a DIY tutorial from Jessica Quirk's style blog What I Wore. Simple pieces complimenting a very patriotic pair of pants that I painted Tuesday night. A little arts & crafts always helps get me into the holiday spirit. Sadly, I pretty much only got to wear this American ensemble for a couple of hours, because we had a very gloomy day, and it was cold and windy. I guess June gloom didn't get the memo that it is July.
