Summer Whites Part 1.

I firmly believe you can never go wrong with a crisp, white top so throughout the next few days I'm going to be sharing with you some of my favorite white pieces for Summer. To kick things off I'm sharing this linen blend Dolan blouse from Anthropologie. For me the most exciting part is of course the bell sleeves, but I'm also extremely excited about all the small details that are harder to notice at first glance; like the fringe trim around all the edges and the delicate embroidered detail. This top is amazing because the fabric breathes so well and it's great for transitioning from day to night or dressing up or down. Minimalist Monday.

Keeping things nice and simple to start out the week, sometimes going back to basics is very refreshing, like cleansing your style. I love the ease of a crisp white blouse, and this Banana Republic one is fabulous because of its' versatility. It's low maintenance but still has a little edge; I like the gold zipper detail which was fun to match with the booties to bring out their gold detailing as well.

Rice Krispie.

An unbelievably summertime look turned office appropriate by adding one thing, a tailored blazer. A basic knit skirt and tee can be worn just about everywhere throughout the summer, but if you want to take it one step further, a blazer or any other jacket will help polish off the look. And we all know I'm obsessing over white this season, so of course this outfit is one of my faves right now.

Patriotic Pants.

Fashionable on the 4th of July thanks to a DIY tutorial from Jessica Quirk's style blog What I Wore. Simple pieces complimenting a very patriotic pair of pants that I painted Tuesday night. A little arts & crafts always helps get me into the holiday spirit. Sadly, I pretty much only got to wear this American ensemble for a couple of hours, because we had a very gloomy day, and it was cold and windy. I guess June gloom didn't get the memo that it is July.
