Mixed Plaid.

Sorry for my absence the past week, with daylight savings it's been hard to find time when there is still daylight to get a good outfit post! But here's my look from today, playing around with a little plaid mixing, because what says Fall better than a good checked piece? I love how the vibrance of the top and skirt play off each other so well, the cobalt blues really help bring them together! For those of you looking for a good flannel, Rails makes the absolute best ones, they're totally worth the investment; I've never felt a softer flannel!

Trials in Tights.

It's amazing what tights can do for an outfit and your confidence for that matter. I would probably never wear a skirt this short and fitted with my pale, bare leggings seeing the light of day, but adding a sheer tight adds just the right amount of layering and conservativeness to keep me comfortable and confident in this wintry look.

If it wasn't obvious before, it's definitely got to be a fact now that I am obsessed with my Rails flannel. I feel like a great flannel is one of the most versatile pieces your closet can have. A little menswear inspiration to take you from casual to chic depending on your mood. Long gone is the masculine only, lumberjack stereotype that once tied us to our favorite plaids, so make some room in your wardrobe and enjoy!

Major Leaguer.

Went to a baseball game the other night, and I couldn't think of anything more perfect to wear than this Rails flannel. Cozier than ever this double layer Kendra button down not only kept me warm when it started to cool down, but was the perfect colors to cheer on the Cleveland Indians. Plaids are here to stay for fall and this is going to be one of the major players in the upcoming season.
