Spring Uniform.

Gearing up for the heat wave heading to Los Angeles this week, with temperatures supposedly rising into the 80s. Loving this fun and flirty cold shoulder blouse from H&M; totally fell in love with the girly ruffle details. I'll be dressing this top up and down all season long from pairing it with some vintage cropped jeans and sandals to styling it with denim cut offs and some white sneakers. Also if you haven't checked it out yet the Dolce Vita x Target collaboration just keeps getting better with so many amazing goodies this season like my clutch and shoes (which also come in tan) shown here.

Skinny Jeans: A Colorful Life.

Has the shelf life of skinny jeans finally expired? According to trend reports be prepared to give  your skinnies a break as most retailers will be shelling out new looser fitting styles, like boyfriend and girlfriend jeans and denim alternatives like sleek sweats. Not that I myself don't love a good slouchy boyfriend jean, but I can't imagine doing away with my go-to skinnies altogether; the average week I wear a skinny jean at least 3 times. To keep my denim looks from becoming too stale I decided yesterday was the perfect day to refresh with some colored denim that I haven't worn in months! To me, it was a nice contrast to my usual, neutral denim. What about you, are you ready to retire your skinny jeans?

With oversize proportions being so trendy these days sometimes you find yourself wondering if something is meant to be a top or a dress? This Free People Tree Swing Top is the perfect example its definitely borderline, and while it makes a great match to boots and skinny jeans it is also a fun and flirty babydoll dress. Another look making use of a great basic tee, a simple linen top is a wardrobe essential. They're great for layering and classing looks up, because they have a clean and smooth drape. More than thrilled to have kicked off the new year with a visit from my momma, and a fun girl's weekend getaway. We drove the two hours to Palm Springs for a friend's wedding and got to go on a few mini adventures a long the way, not to be confused with Pee Wee's Big Adventure. It was the perfect relaxing weekend, giving me an escape from reality before heading back to school and work!

Back to School Brights.

It's been a hectic week preparing for the fall. A new, full-time job and back to school, on track to getting dual associate's degrees by Spring. To start the week off right, I wanted to wear something lively and bright! My spirits and energy couldn't help but stay up in such a fun outfit.

Edge of Glory.

Bodycon skirts and dresses have been popular for a while now, and wearing curve hugging, tight fitting, booty popping clothing, isn't really my style. But.. I did find this bright pink skirt at Ross about three months ago for a whopping FIVE dollars, so I figured I would give it a shot. Well, here's my shot, a few months later. This works for me, because this skirt isn't unbelievably tight, and I paired it with a loose fitting top that's more my style. I gave this look a funky, punky twist, and sang Lady Gaga all the way to work.
